Anniversary Campaign Presentation - Friends of Seguin Island Light Station

May 20 2025 -Interesting little factoid for summer prediction. The Gulf Stream eddy has backed away from Nova Scotia and it has allowed the cold Labrador current to enter the Gulf of Maine. It is COLD! This cyclical opening and closing is in its open phase. The fishing will be different with this colder water and we may see more fog this summer. Pack some bundling up clothing for foggy walks on the beach in the morning. Seguin Light will be there, no matter what., you may even be hearing its fog whistle.
