The Island is staffed from Memorial Day through Columbus Day with Volunteer Keepers. It is thanks to this group of volunteer keepers that we are able to open the island for visitors. These keepers are there to greet visitors, give tours of the tower, museum and gift shop, maintain the island and our 5 hiking trails.
